Product test questions: harness and pack design 2014
Thank you so much for participating as a 2014 Product Tester. I am so grateful for your feedback and have already made design changes based on the feedback of your fellow product testers. If your dog is finding the pack to be durable and comfortable, I certainly appreciate any "shout outs" you might be able to give me to your friends or on your blog, Instagram, Facebook etc. If you've had issues, I would love to send you an updated design, so please let me know! Thank you!
Your Dog's Name
After adjusting the straps of the harness to your dog are they:
adjusted as tight as they will go
adjusted as loose as they will go
about in the middle of the adjustment
If the front straps are tightened all the way but the rear ones are loose or vis-versa, etc, please describe in the box that will follow...
Is your dog being chafed by the harness?
Yes, some chaffing (please elaborate below)
We need to alter it. (Elaborate below)
Are there any other issues with the fit of the harness? Do the straps move around or has your dog been able to escape the harness? Is the chest plate underneath your dog working well? I am happy to reimburse you to mail the harness back to me and I will alter it for you if needed.
Do you like the fabrics used? Do you find them sufficiently durable and waterproof?
Can you fit the amount of food and gear into the packs that you need for your average amount of hiking days? How many days worth of food? What, if any, gear also goes in the pack?
Do you like the shape of the bags? If you have the roll-top design, how is this working for you and your dog? If you fill the roll-top taller than the dog's back, how is this working?
Do you have any issues with the hook and loop ("velcro") tabs that attach the pack to the harness? (You can check more than one box.)
No issues, they work fine
I don't like them (please elaborate below).
The pack does not stay on the dog.
The "velcro" sound upsets my dog.
The "velcro" catches my dog's hair.
I wish the pack attached with buckles instead.
Please describe any issues with the pack-to-harness attachment system:
Please describe the wear on the pack... wear on the material, seams, hardware, etc.
Please describe any issues with the overall craftsmanship of the harness/pack:
Would you pay $120 (zipper top) or $135 (roll top) for this (combined) custom fit harness + custom color pack? (You can check multiple boxes)
No, I do not like to spend this much money on my dog.
I wouldn't spend this much but I know other people who would.
I would be willing to pay even more than $120/$135.
I think it's worth $120/$135 as long as you address these issues I've had...
Further thoughts on the price:
I appreciate any and all thoughts about this product beyond my questions above! I appreciate you keeping in touch with me and letting me know how the pack holds up even years from now!
I am creating a Covey page and would love to include you and your dog.
You can see an example on the page, there is an entry about Treehugger and Justa. If you would like to be featured on the page, please send me any or all of the below:
- a good photo of you and your dog or just your dog
- how would you liked to be named? By your first and last name? Only by your trailname? Only your dog's name?
- a short bio about your hiking trips, etc
- your online trail blog web address
-any tips for hiking with your dog that you would like to share with other hikers, a great thing to share would be the pack list for your dog.
No, I would not like to be featured on the covey page
Yes! I want to be on the covey page and I will email you some photos soon
