Ultralight Dog Leash
Another great ultralight product made by our friend Ben in CO! This leash is excellent for UL hikers who want to keep their dog's leash in their pocket, but have the reliability of a very secure and strong leash when needed. The carabiner is a Proclimb Micro 900 non-locking biner. The leash cord is made of AmSteel cordage, made of Dyneema fibers. The handle is made of ultralight Venom UHMWPE webbing. The handle is soft and flexible like ribbon, but incredibly strong. (Please note: if you are used to using a traditional thick web leash AND have a prey-driven or leash-aggressive dog, there will be a learning curve using this cord-style leash- as the cord itself is narrow and may slip your grasp if you are needing to quickly shorten up the leash.)
